No AI authority is designated yet. Under the government bill, the Ministerstvo investícií, regionálneho rozvoja a informatizácie would be the general market surveillance authority and single point of contact, and the Úrad pre normalizáciu, metrológiu a skúšobníctvo would notify.

Approved by the government on 26 August 2026 (resolution 349/2026) and sent to the Národná rada on 28 August 2026 (print 1447). After the first reading it went to committees. It would apply from 1 January 2027.
